How to Test Vehicle Exhaust Emissions?

Computer entry of information and payment of relevant testing fees, this step is conducted in the login hall and is automatically completed by the computer. Dispatcher guides the vehicle into the testing line assigned by the computer, and the supervising personnel have no authority to change the testing route. This step confirms that the vehicle to be tested enters the correct testing line, otherwise it cannot proceed to the next step. This step is performed by the testing personnel according to the prompts on the computer screen. The operation must be correct for the test to succeed, and the test results are uploaded to the server by the system.
I just had my car inspected for the annual emissions test, and the process is actually quite straightforward. At the inspection station, the technician inserts a metal probe deep into the exhaust pipe and connects it to an analyzer. The car needs to be warmed up to normal operating temperature first, then the test is conducted in two steps: holding neutral gear at idle speed to get readings, and then revving up to high RPM (around 2500) to measure emission data. The main focus is on whether pollutants like CO (carbon monoxide), HC (hydrocarbons), and NOx (nitrogen oxides) exceed the standards. My old car failed the NOx reading last year due to a worn-out catalytic converter, and I had to replace it to pass. It's important to avoid using low-quality gasoline in daily use, as excessive carbon buildup can also easily cause emissions to exceed limits.
