How to Test the Quality of an Oxygen Sensor?
1 Answers
Methods for testing an oxygen sensor are as follows: 1. Good combustion: The oxygen sensor voltage should fluctuate between 0.4~0.6V, with a frequency of more than 10 times per minute. Generally, such good combustion conditions will result in fluctuations between 10~20 times per minute. 2. Momentarily rich or lean mixture: The oxygen sensor voltage fluctuates between 0.1~0.9V, but the fluctuation frequency is only 6~8 times per minute. The oxygen sensor may be less sensitive, or there could be issues like fuel injector leakage or blockage, causing the engine ECU to adjust the fuel injection quantity more significantly.
