How to Tell if the Fuel Injector is Good or Bad?

Fuel injectors generally do not fail simultaneously, so a swapping method can be used for verification. For example, if one cylinder is not working, you can swap the fuel injector with another cylinder (e.g., the second cylinder) and test again. Alternatively, insert a diode into the fuel injector plug to check if there is power input.
I've repaired many cars, and there are three key points to check if fuel injectors are working properly: First, listen to the engine sound. Pay close attention during cold starts—if there's a ticking noise, the injector might be sticking. Next, monitor fuel consumption. If it suddenly jumps from 8 L/100km to 11 L/100km, it's likely due to uncontrolled fuel injection. The most direct method is to remove and power-test them, using cleaner as fuel. A good injector sprays an even mist, while a faulty one either squirts streams or leaks. Last time my car had acceleration issues, I found the fourth injector half-clogged with carbon deposits. It took three hours of ultrasonic cleaning to restore proper atomization.
