How to Tell if a Car's Ignition Coil is Faulty?

Methods to determine if a car's ignition coil is faulty: 1. Check if the insulation cover has cracks; 2. Look for any leakage of insulating materials like asphalt around the ignition coil; 3. Verify if the high-voltage damping wire can be smoothly inserted and removed from the high-voltage damping wire hole; 4. Ensure the terminals of each high-voltage damping wire are well-soldered; 5. Check if additional resistors and other components are intact without damage; 6. Use the red probe of a multimeter to contact the ignition coil terminal and the black probe to touch the ignition coil terminal. If the resistance meter needle moves to the right, it indicates the primary coil is conducting. If the multimeter needle does not move, it suggests an open circuit in the primary coil.
