How to switch to S gear in an automatic transmission?

Press the car's brake pedal to slow down the vehicle. Bring the car to a complete stop on the road. Move the gear lever to the right from the D position to switch from D gear to S gear. Then, press the accelerator pedal to drive forward.
Shifting to S mode in an automatic transmission car is actually very simple—just locate the gear lever and operate it directly. For example, when I'm driving normally, at a red light or when the speed drops below 20 km/h, I lightly pull the gear lever to the 'S' mark while pressing the brake. Some cars require pulling the lever backward, while others need pressing an unlock button on the side. Once in S mode, the car immediately feels more spirited, with higher RPMs and quicker power delivery, making uphill climbs and overtaking especially exhilarating. However, remember not to switch abruptly at high speeds, as it can confuse the transmission, and avoid using it recklessly in rainy conditions to prevent tire slippage, which can be dangerous. This mode consumes more fuel, so switching back to D mode after about ten minutes of city driving is more economical.
