How to switch to M mode in Audi A4L?

Entering from the left front door of the car leads you to the driver's seat. Press the brake pedal and push the one-touch start button. When the dashboard lights up, it indicates the vehicle has started normally. The M gear is a manual mode gear, so place the automatic gear lever in the M gear's +- position to enter manual mode. Simply move to use a specific gear. Pushing the gear lever forward once will increase a gear; pulling it backward once will decrease a gear.
I've been driving an Audi A4L for several years, and shifting to M mode is second nature to me. While driving, simply push the gear lever slightly to the right from D mode, and the dashboard will display M1 or a higher number, indicating manual mode. I often do this on highways, like downshifting quickly to accelerate when overtaking—the response is much faster than in automatic mode. There are also paddle shifters behind the steering wheel; a flick of the thumb can shift up or down, which feels very intuitive. Manual mode is also useful when climbing or descending steep slopes, as it helps control speed and prevents brake overheating. However, be careful not to let the RPM exceed the redline, as it can damage the engine. During routine maintenance, I’ve made it a habit to check the transmission condition to ensure smooth shifting. Overall, Audi’s design is quite user-friendly, giving drivers a greater sense of control.
