How to switch between D gear and S gear on the Lavida?

Depress the car's brake pedal to slow down the vehicle. Bring the car to a complete stop on the road. Move the gear lever to the right from the D gear position to shift from D gear to S gear. At this point, press the accelerator pedal to move forward.
I've driven a Lavida for several years and know how to switch between D and S modes. On an automatic transmission car, you simply push the gear lever directly from D to S position – it's very easy to operate. While driving, you don't need to brake or stop; just pull the gear lever to switch. The S mode is for sport driving, which delays gear shifting for stronger power output, making it suitable for overtaking or climbing hills. However, don't switch back and forth too often in daily driving, as it consumes more fuel and may cause transmission wear. I recommend regularly checking the cleanliness of the shifting mechanism. If it gets stuck, don't force it – it might be due to dust buildup. Always refer to the manual for guidance while driving to ensure safety and prolong your car's lifespan. Overall, switching is simple, but the key is using it appropriately without affecting daily driving efficiency.
