How to Straighten a Bent Motorcycle Handlebar?
1 Answers
If the handlebar is bent but the bike doesn't pull to one side, it's relatively easy to fix. In this case, there's no issue with the bike's body or frame. The problem usually occurs when the handlebar gets knocked during a fall, causing pressure on the triple tree (also known as the "top yoke" or "steering stem"). This results in pure handlebar misalignment. Simply disassemble the triple tree to realign it, adjusting the handlebar back to the center position. If the handlebar is deformed, replace it. There are three types of handlebar misalignment: 1. First type: The handlebar appears straight, but the bike pulls when riding hands-free. 2. Second type: The handlebar is visibly bent, but the bike doesn't pull when riding hands-free. 3. Third type: The handlebar is bent and the bike pulls when riding hands-free.
