How to Step on the Clutch with a Height of 1.5 Meters?

Shorter trainees usually have relatively shorter legs, so they need to adjust the seat forward to fully depress the clutch. Place the heel on the floor and use the upper part of the foot to step on the clutch pedal.
As a 1.5-meter-tall driver, I also found clutch operation challenging when first learning manual transmission. Here's what worked for me: Slide the seat fully forward so your knees naturally bend to reach pedals. Recline the backrest slightly to prevent back strain. If needed, use a thick cushion to elevate your hips for better leg extension. Keep your heel grounded when depressing the clutch – only pivot from the ball of your foot, never hover the entire foot. Practice clutch engagement in neutral gear repeatedly before tackling traffic. Raising seat height also helps. The key is optimizing positioning and technique. With proper adjustments, clutch operation becomes second nature regardless of stature. Short legs? No problem – where there's a will, there's a workaround!
