How to Steer When Reversing and Turning?

Assess the situation behind the vehicle and the intended reversing path to ensure the front of the car won't hit any obstacles. Avoid pressing the accelerator while reversing and maintain a controlled, slow speed. Depending on the direction you want the rear of the car to move, steer accordingly. If the rear needs to move toward the right rear, turn the steering wheel to the right; conversely, turn it to the left. While reversing, don’t focus solely on the rear. After ensuring it’s safe behind, periodically check the left and right rearview mirrors to monitor the distance between obstacles and the car body.
