How to start without rolling back after parking on a slope?

If the road ahead is clear with no vehicles in front or behind, you can press the accelerator harder when releasing the brake to start. If the vehicle has hill start assist function, you can directly activate it. The vehicle will then have about 2 seconds of brake-assisted starting, and you can simply press the accelerator. For general slopes, you can press the brake with your left foot and the accelerator with your right foot. Gradually increase the accelerator, then release the brake to start after moving forward.
When I first started driving, I pondered over hill starts, which require the assistance of the handbrake. After pulling the handbrake tight, press the clutch and shift into first gear, then gently press the accelerator with your right foot to make the engine sound louder. Slowly release the clutch until you feel the car slightly lurch forward, then decisively release the handbrake and the car will move without rolling back. The key lies in the coordination between the accelerator and clutch—don’t press the accelerator too hard to avoid jerking, and don’t release the clutch too quickly or the engine will stall. I suggest practicing a few times on a quiet slope to familiarize yourself with your car’s clutch engagement point. Remember, stay calm—panic leads to mistakes. If you frequently roll back, it might be due to lack of practice; take it slow and you’ll master it. Safety first: always check the rearview mirror before starting to ensure no one is following too closely.
