How to Start on a Slope with an Electronic Handbrake?

First, engage the handbrake. Then, when starting, shift into first gear and take your time to slowly release the clutch. Rushing this step may cause the car to stall due to excessive speed. Next, begin to apply the throttle. This step should be done quickly, but the clutch should not be released too fast, as it may also lead to stalling. Once the engine reaches around 1500 RPM, disengage the handbrake and continue to gradually release the clutch while applying the throttle.
Using the electronic parking brake for hill starts is actually quite simple. I panicked the first time I encountered a steep slope too. First, press the brake pedal and shift to D or drive gear, but don't release the brake yet. Gently press the accelerator to make the front of the car slightly lift, and you'll feel the car exerting force. At this point, simply press the electronic parking brake switch once, and it will automatically release. Some cars are even smarter and will automatically release the parking brake with a light tap on the accelerator, but it's best to check the manual to confirm. The key is to apply the accelerator gently and evenly, not abruptly, otherwise the tires may slip. If you encounter an especially steep slope, you can use your left foot to press the brake and your right foot to lightly tap the accelerator while working with the electronic parking brake for the safest approach. I now follow this routine for hill starts and haven't rolled back since.
