Press the brake pedal to bring the vehicle to a complete stop, shift the gear from D to N, and engage the parking brake. Release the foot brake but do not turn off the power, keep the foot brake pressed, and shift the gear from N to P. Release the foot brake, press the one-key start button to turn off the power, and the engine will shut down.
Starting my Haval H6 with the push-button start is super easy: After getting in the car, make sure the key is inside the car or in your pocket, firmly press the brake pedal (for automatic transmission) or clutch (for manual transmission), then press the start button on the center console, and the engine will start. To turn off the engine, make sure the car is completely stopped, shift to P gear, and press the button again. The key must be detected for it to work—once my key battery died and it wouldn’t start, but keeping a spare battery solves the issue. Push-button start has many advantages, like not needing to insert a key in winter, which is super convenient. However, be careful not to accidentally press it while driving—safety first. Usually, keep the key in a stable position to avoid interference causing failure. Regularly check the car battery to ensure stable voltage and prevent startup failures that could disrupt your trip. Developing the right habits makes push-button start a smooth and enjoyable experience, especially when you’re in a hurry—it saves time.
