How to Start and Turn Off an Automatic Car?

Press the brake, start the engine, shift to D or R gear, release the handbrake, release the foot brake, press the accelerator, and start moving. Press the brake to bring the vehicle to a smooth stop, shift from D gear to N gear, and engage the handbrake (for electronic handbrakes, simply pull up). Specifically, press the button twice without stepping on any pedals, and the vehicle will enter the self-check process.
When I first started driving, I was always afraid of making mistakes. Starting an automatic car is actually quite simple: first, sit properly and fasten your seatbelt, keep your foot on the brake pedal, make sure the gear is in P or N, then press the start button or turn the key. Turning off the car is also easy—wait until the car comes to a complete stop, shift to P, engage the electronic parking brake or regular handbrake, and finally hold the start button for a few seconds or turn the key back to the OFF position. Some cars will beep to remind you if you try to turn them off in the wrong gear. Before starting, it’s best to check if the floor mat is blocking the brake pedal—don’t end up like me last time, sweating bullets because I couldn’t press the pedal down. At first, I even locked the steering wheel when turning off the car, and when I started it again, I yanked the steering wheel hard and broke the locking mechanism—that repair cost me over 500 yuan.
