When I first drove the Cayenne, it took me a while to figure it out. Keyless start cars are different from regular ones. With the key on you, sit in the driver's seat, but don't rush to press the button. First, step on the brake pedal, then press the silver start button on the left side of the center console. At this point, the dashboard will light up, and the engine will roar to life. The electronic gear shifter on the right side of the steering wheel requires you to press the side unlock button to shift gears. Remember to check if the auto-hold is engaged before shifting to D, or else rolling backward would be awkward. In winter, it's best to wait for the tachometer to stabilize at 800 rpm before driving off—it's better for the engine. The steering wheel heater button is right next to the start button; don't forget to turn it on when driving in cold weather.

Attention all Cayenne owners, don't use brute force when starting the car. Just keep the key in your pocket, sit in the driver's seat and fasten your seatbelt first, then press the brake pedal all the way down with your right foot, and use your index finger to press the start button for about two seconds. Release when you hear the engine sound, at which point the electronic gear lever will vibrate slightly. Before shifting gears, remember to glance at the dashboard to ensure the 'Ready' message appears. The hybrid version starts even quieter, possibly with only a slight electric hum, so don't mistake it for not starting. It's recommended to turn off the air conditioning compressor before shutting down to extend battery life. By the way, if the start button doesn't work, it's probably due to low key battery, try replacing the coin cell battery.

How to Solve Abnormal Noise When Braking While Driving?

When abnormal noise occurs while braking during driving, immediate corresponding measures should be taken. The following are solutions for different types of abnormal braking noises: 1. A screeching sound when braking: Check if the brake pads are worn out or if there are any foreign objects. If the brake pads are worn out, replace them immediately. If there are foreign objects, remove the brake pads, take out the foreign objects, and reinstall them. 2. A dull sound when braking: Check if the brake caliper's sliding pins are worn or if the spring plates have fallen off. If any issues are found, replace them immediately. 3. A hissing sound when braking: Check if there are any problems with the caliper, brake disc, or brake pads. 4. A clattering sound when braking: Check if the attachments on the brake pads are loose. It is recommended to reinforce them or replace the brake pads with new ones.

What Causes Transmission Jerking?

Detailed explanations for the causes of transmission jerking are as follows: 1. Upshift Jerking - Mostly caused by the transmission's response speed not being fast enough, where the upshift speed cannot keep up with the throttle input, resulting in a jerking sensation at the moment of gear shift. 2. Downshift Jerking - Often due to the intervention of the energy recovery system. Once the driver releases the throttle pedal or presses the brake pedal, the generator immediately starts working, placing a load on the engine, affecting the engine speed and causing a mismatch between the engine speed and the clutch disc speed, leading to a jerking sensation. 3. Low-speed Jerking - At low speeds, frequent shifting between first and second gears causes the clutch to constantly engage and disengage, preventing smooth power transmission in a short time, resulting in common low-speed jerking. Jerking during startup and at low speeds is usually due to turbocharger intervention at low RPMs, affecting the engine speed.

What to Do If You Have a Driver's License but Are Afraid to Drive?

Here are some solutions for those who have a driver's license but are afraid to drive: 1. Be bold and careful: Many people can drive but are afraid to, lacking even the courage to get into the car. So, if you want to drive, you must muster up the courage. With the increase in the number of cars, minor collisions and rear-end accidents happen from time to time, and various unexpected situations arise. Therefore, it's essential to be careful when driving. 2. Maintain a calm mindset and stay composed in emergencies: Nervousness is almost a common experience for every new driver. The view outside the car is clear, but once you sit in the driver's seat, you might feel confused, as the perspective is entirely different from outside. The more afraid you are, the more nervous you become, and the worse you drive. 3. Practice more: There are no shortcuts to driving. Only through frequent practice can you become skilled. For the first few times, it's advisable to practice in areas with less traffic before gradually merging into heavier traffic. Having a transition period will make it much easier.

What are the causes of damage to an automatic transmission?

For the specific reasons of damage to an automatic transmission, the details are as follows: 1. Shifting time: Generally, automatic transmissions have specific shifting speeds and vehicle speeds. If you notice that the shifting time suddenly becomes too long or too short, it means the transmission ratio is out of proportion, and you may also feel that the engine speed is too high. In more severe cases, the transmission may not shift at all, indicating a problem with the transmission. 2. Transmission oil leakage: Oil seeping from the transmission housing or oil pan is caused by aging or poor sealing of the seals, or poor manufacturing quality leading to porosity in the housing. 3. Water ingress into the transmission: While driving, if you hear the engine revving without an increase in vehicle speed during acceleration, and the car feels sluggish, it may be due to burnt clutch plates or water entering the transmission from external sources, causing abnormal operation. This could be due to oil mixing in the radiator or water entering through the transmission vent cap.

What to Do If the Chassis Leaks Due to Overfilled Windshield Washer Fluid?

If the leakage is caused by overfilling, simply wipe off the spilled windshield washer fluid. Below is some relevant information about windshield washer fluid: 1. Functions: Windshield washer fluid typically has functions such as wetting, penetrating, and solubilizing, thereby aiding in cleaning and removing dirt. The presence of alcohol and ethylene glycol in the fluid significantly lowers the freezing point of the liquid, providing antifreeze properties and quickly dissolving frost. 2. Classification: Based on form, it can be divided into solid and liquid windshield washer fluids. Solid windshield washer fluids are mostly used in environments above 0°C. One type, commonly used in summer, contains insect-removing glue components to quickly clean insect residues on the windshield. Another type is specifically designed for winter use, ensuring that car facilities are not damaged by freezing even when the external temperature drops below -20°C. There is also a special antifreeze type that remains unfrozen even at -40°C.

How to Remove Cement Splashed on the Car?

There are several methods to remove cement from the car: 1. If it's within 12 hours: First, wet and soak the area with water, then use car wash liquid and a towel to gently clean it. 2. If it's over 12 hours: By this time, the cement has likely hardened. You can purchase some acidic solution from a pharmacy, dip a brush in it, and apply it to the cement. The cement will dissolve in the acidic liquid, and then you can rinse it off with water. 3. Using gasoline: Pour gasoline onto the cement, wait for it to soften slightly, and then remove the cement by hand (suitable for large-area removal). 4. Using a hairdryer: Heat the cement-splashed area with a hairdryer. Due to the different thermal expansion of cement and plastic, the cement will usually fall off automatically. 5. Using white vinegar: Spray white vinegar onto the cement with a spray bottle, wait for 3-5 minutes, and then gently scrape it off with a hard card. The cement will come off in chunks. Afterward, wash the area where white vinegar was sprayed with car wash liquid to ensure no residue remains.
