How to Start a Passat?

Press the start button once, and after the ACC light turns on, press the start button again. At this point, the one-touch start button will turn green, and the vehicle will begin self-inspection. Once the vehicle completes the self-inspection, press the brake pedal and press the one-touch start button once more to start the vehicle.
I usually drive a Passat, and the startup process generally involves these steps: First, place the key properly in the car or keep it in your pocket within the sensing range. Press and hold the brake pedal without releasing it, otherwise, the push-button start won't respond. Then, press the start button once, and when you hear the buzzing sound of the engine igniting, it means the car has started. Various lights on the dashboard will illuminate for a self-check, and after a few seconds, when these lights go off, it indicates the system is normal. Finally, shift to D gear and slowly release the handbrake to start moving. If driving a manual transmission, remember to press the clutch when starting, while for an automatic transmission, there's no need to worry about it. In winter, remember to let the engine idle for a minute before turning on the air conditioning for a more car-friendly cold start.
Starting the Passat is quite straightforward. For keyless entry models, simply press the brake pedal firmly and push the round button without even taking out the key. If the dashboard shows warning lights for the electronic parking brake or incorrect gear position, make sure the gear is in P and the parking brake is fully released. After starting, the central display will briefly show vehicle status information—check for any red warning indicators. If your new car has auto start-stop, the engine will shut off at red lights and restart with a light tap on the accelerator. During normal operation, avoid cranking for more than 5 seconds, and wait 10 seconds between consecutive starting attempts.
