How to Start a Malibu with Key Ignition?

First, insert the car key and press the start button, then wait for the instrument panel to light up. After the instrument panel lights up, press the start button again and turn the car key. Next, lightly press the brake pedal. Upon starting, the engine speed will be relatively high. Wait until the RPM on the instrument panel drops below 1,000 before shifting gears and starting to drive.
I've been driving my Malibu for almost a year now. The key ignition is actually quite simple, but beginners might get flustered. You just need to sit in the driver's seat, locate the keyhole below the steering wheel, insert the key facing the correct side without using too much force to avoid jamming. After inserting, gently turn it clockwise to the ON position - the dashboard will light up at this point. If all indicators look normal, then turn to the START position to fire up the engine. I recommend pressing the brake pedal before starting for stability, then turn the key to prevent being startled by sudden ignition. Starting while in P (Park) gear is safer to avoid potential rolling. During car washes or maintenance, check the keyhole for dust buildup to prevent blockage. If the key doesn't turn smoothly, don't force it - inspect whether the key teeth are worn. Remember to listen for normal engine sounds after starting, don't rush to drive - wait for the idle speed to stabilize before shifting gears and moving.
