How to Solve the Problem of Temporary License Plates Not Being Recognized in Parking Lots?

If there is security personnel on duty at the parking lot, you can directly explain the situation to them and ask them to record your entry before opening the gate. If there is no security personnel on duty, check if there is a temporary card button at the entrance. If available, press it to retrieve a temporary card for entry. Remember to settle the payment upon leaving. If there is no security personnel and temporary cards are not supported, try contacting the staff for assistance. If none of the above methods work, and the machine cannot recognize the temporary license plate nor supports temporary cards, the only option left is to find another place to park.
Recently, I also encountered the issue of temporary license plates not being recognized in parking lots. This happened when I just bought a new car and was using a temporary plate. The problem lies in the recognition system mainly scanning standard reflective license plates, while temporary plates are made of non-reflective material or can't be read if tilted. My experience is to avoid parking in corners or dark areas and try spots near the entrance with good lighting. The manual solution is quite simple: find the parking lot attendant at the duty booth and explain the situation for manual entry; some places have help buttons that summon assistance when pressed. I also bound my phone to the community APP, uploaded the temporary plate information in advance, and paid online, which made things much easier. If the problem occurs frequently, it's advisable to contact the parking lot management to adjust the system settings or switch to card access. After all, the temporary phase is short, and getting the official plates as soon as possible is the most reliable solution.
