How to Solve the Issue of Gas in the Fuel Tank?

Generally, no special treatment is needed as the gas will automatically discharge during driving. If you hear such a sound every time you refuel, it may be due to a malfunction in the carbon canister causing an imbalance in internal and external air pressure. The carbon canister should be checked and repaired promptly.
When I first bought a car, I was also always worried about the vacuum in the fuel tank. Actually, the hissing sound when opening the fuel cap is usually not a big deal. Most likely, the charcoal canister that collects fuel vapor is clogged, preventing the vapor from escaping and creating a vacuum in the tank. Checking it yourself is simple: After parking, don’t open the fuel cap immediately; wait half an hour before opening it. If it still hisses, remove the inner liner of the left rear wheel and check if the charcoal canister tube is bent. Last time, my Civic had a small stone stuck in the tube, and I fixed it by straightening it with pliers. If black dust blows out of the canister’s vent, it’s completely clogged. You can buy an OEM part online for just over a hundred bucks, and replacing it yourself takes only half an hour!
