How to Solve Automatic Parking Failure?

Automatic parking failure indicates that the active parking system is malfunctioning and cannot operate normally. Resetting the electronic parking brake: First, reset the electronic parking brake by turning on the car key, pressing the brake pedal, then pressing down the electronic handbrake for 5 seconds, followed by pulling up the electronic handbrake for 5 seconds. After completing these steps, the electronic handbrake will be initialized and reset. Another possibility is insufficient battery power, which can also cause the electronic parking fault light to illuminate. When the battery is sufficiently charged, the light will turn off by itself. If the fault light remains on, it is recommended to visit a 4S store for repair.
I once encountered a situation where the auto-hold function wasn't working while driving, which really startled me on a slope. This kind of malfunction could be due to sensors being covered by dust or the system suddenly freezing. I usually park in a safe spot first, then try restarting the engine or cleaning the sensor areas near the wheels. If that doesn't solve it, I check the settings button to see if it was accidentally turned off. The auto-hold function is actually related to the hill-start assist system, and once it fails, it's easy for the car to roll back in traffic jams or on slopes, which is very dangerous. So don't delay—it's best to go to a repair shop immediately for diagnosis. It might be due to aging wiring or software needing an update. During regular maintenance, remind the technician to check this function as well to avoid accidents.
