How to shift to neutral in a GAC GS8 when the battery is dead?

First, locate the cover labeled SHIFTLOCK next to the vehicle's gear lever. This is an emergency button specifically designed for shifting to neutral when the vehicle has no power. Use a pin to insert into the gap and pry the cover downward to open it. After prying open the cover, you will see a keyhole inside. At this point, you can insert the vehicle's physical key or another elongated object into the keyhole. Once the physical key or another elongated object is inserted, the vehicle's gear can be controlled, allowing you to shift the gear to the N (neutral) position.
