BMW shortcut command setup is as follows: Gently press and hold the shortcut key on the instrument panel to see a prompt, then hold it longer to store. A prompt will appear in the top left corner of the screen, at which point you can select an interface you wish to store. For example, use the iDrive knob to navigate to the map, then press and hold the number [1] for about 3 seconds to complete the storage. The next time you need to access the map, simply press the [1] key lightly. Similarly, if you want to store [On-board Computer] to the number [2] key, select [On-board Computer] and press and hold [2] until storage is successful. It is recommended to store options that are hard to find but practical and frequently used, such as the tire pressure monitoring reset function. To clear all stored information: Press and hold both the [1] and [8] keys simultaneously to delete all stored information. To replace a single key's stored selection: Press and hold the target key to overwrite the original selection with the new one.
