How to Set the Time on X-Trail?

First, press the vehicle's one-touch start button to start the vehicle; otherwise, adjustments cannot be made. The dashboard will display vehicle information. Then, use the multifunction steering wheel to switch to the time setting interface. After pressing "Clock Settings," the center console will display the options. Press the RES or SET buttons on the multifunction steering wheel to adjust the dashboard display. Repeat the above steps to set the time. Once the time is set, press the OK button on the left side of the multifunction steering wheel to confirm and apply the settings.
I found setting the time on the X-Trail is actually quite simple, mainly depending on which year's model you have. For my new X-Trail, just locate the settings button on the infotainment screen homepage (usually a gear icon), click into it, and you'll see the time setting option. Then simply use the plus/minus buttons to adjust the numbers. For older models, there might be dedicated physical buttons on the left side of the instrument cluster - press and hold for a few seconds to enter time setting mode. Reminder: it's best to do this while parked, as adjusting time while driving can be distracting and dangerous. Also, if the time keeps being inaccurate, it might need resetting after battery disconnection - in this case, I recommend swinging by the 4S shop to let technicians computer-calibrate it, they can fix it in just two minutes.
Adjusting the time on the X-Trail varies by model. If you have the navigation version, press and hold the SETUP button on the center console to enter the system menu, then find the clock settings to adjust with the knob. For base models like mine without a touchscreen, first press the ODO TRIP button on the instrument panel to switch modes. When the clock starts flashing, turn the knob to change the numbers, then press once more to confirm. It's similar to setting a digital watch. For first-time setup, I recommend checking the illustrated instructions on page 137 of the manual, as the location may differ by model year. Also, remember to calibrate the time right after picking up your new car for accurate ETA on the navigation.
The time setting for the X-Trail is primarily achieved through a combination of buttons on the center console. After entering the vehicle, start the power without pressing the brake pedal, then locate the INFO or SET button on the center console. Press it repeatedly until the time setting interface appears on the screen, with the hour digits flashing. At this point, you can adjust the time by rotating the volume knob. Pressing the knob switches to minute setting in the same way. Higher-end models equipped with GPS make it even easier—simply drive the vehicle to an open area, and the system will automatically calibrate the time upon receiving satellite signals. If there's occasional display delay after prolonged exposure to summer sun, don't panic. Just turn off the engine, lock the vehicle, wait for about ten minutes, and restart to restore normal function.
