The method to set the time on a Civic is: 1. Press and hold the clock button until the clock starts flashing, then you can adjust the time; 2. Press the H button to adjust the hour and the M button to adjust the minutes; 3. After setting the time, press the clock button again to complete the adjustment. The Civic is a compact car with body dimensions of 4517mm in length, 1799mm in width, 1434mm in height, a wheelbase of 2700mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 47 liters. The Civic is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 130kW at 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 220Nm, paired with a continuously variable transmission.

After driving a Civic for 12 years, I've mastered setting the clock. First, don't start the engine—just power on the electronics. Look to the left of the steering wheel for a button with a clock icon or one that resembles a page-turning symbol. Press and hold it until the small clock on the dashboard starts blinking. Then, use the volume knob or directional buttons to adjust the numbers to the correct time and press the confirm button to finish. It's even simpler with newer touchscreen models—just swipe into the settings menu, find 'Clock Settings,' and tap to adjust the numbers directly. If you're driving long distances across time zones, remember to turn off the automatic time zone and switch to manual mode; otherwise, the GPS might auto-adjust the time and confuse you.

When I first got my Civic, I couldn't find the time adjustment button either, but now I can do it blindfolded. The key lies in the control area on the left side of the steering wheel. For older models, you need to press that small stick-like selector button to enter setup mode - a beep sound indicates you've entered clock adjustment. Newer models with LCD instrument clusters are more intuitive; just use the steering wheel's directional pad to scroll through the multifunction display. Note that post-2016 facelift models without physical buttons require accessing the clock through the central display via 'System Settings > General Settings > Clock'. After adjustment, remember to check the 24-hour format and automatic daylight saving time options, especially for parallel-import vehicles brought back by overseas returnees, as they often default to 12-hour format.

The Civic has two methods for time adjustment: mechanical gauges and full LCD display. For the analog version, there are three steps: after powering on, press and hold the button below the instrument panel until the needles shake, rotate the adjustment knob at the bottom left of the cluster to align with the correct time, then lightly press the button to confirm. The LCD version in post-10th-gen Civics is much more elegant—use the right-side steering wheel scroll wheel to enter the menu, select 'Vehicle Settings > Clock Settings,' and adjust the numbers with the scroll wheel (recommend setting seconds to 00 first for easier calibration). If the time resets after restarting the car, check the battery voltage—a weak Civic battery can cause system resets.
