After turning on the car, the CLK button is used to display and set the time. Press and hold the CLK button for about 5 seconds until the time display on the screen starts flashing. Use the adjustment knob (turn left to decrease, turn right to increase) to adjust the hour first, then the minutes. After selecting the desired time, press the CLK button to confirm.

When I first bought my new Mondeo, setting the date was a bit confusing; but I got the hang of it after a few tries. Sitting in the driver's seat, start the engine but don't drive off, ensuring safety. Press the button on the lower left side of the steering wheel to bring up the dashboard menu; locate the system settings option, then use the directional keys to scroll to the time and date section. Manually entering the year, month, and day was a bit tricky—for example, I initially reversed the order, and the navigation system kept giving me errors. Later, I understood that accurate date settings help the GPS calculate travel time. I recommend checking it regularly, especially after a battery change, as it might reset; it takes just two or three minutes to complete and doesn’t affect driving normally.

What is the method for starting a car?

Car starting method is: Before ignition, ensure the gear is in neutral, depress the clutch, first turn the key to the ACC position, wait 3 to 5 seconds for the car's electrical system to complete self-check. After normal confirmation, turn to the START position for ignition. Upon successful ignition, promptly release the key to let it return to the ON position, ensuring the starter motor's gear remains engaged with the engine's flywheel without disengagement, thus preventing starter motor damage due to excessive flywheel speed. If attempting ignition while in gear without depressing the clutch, the vehicle may lurch forward, increasing rear-end collision risks. Additionally, the engine operating under heavy load may stall, causing abnormal wear to the engine.

Can a car be driven on the road without insurance?

Compulsory traffic insurance must be purchased; driving without it is not allowed. Ordinary commercial insurance can be freely chosen whether to purchase or not. Vehicles must purchase compulsory traffic insurance: If a vehicle does not purchase compulsory traffic insurance, it cannot be properly licensed, and driving it on the road rashly will result in point deductions. Choose a qualified insurance company: When applying for insurance, fill out the policy truthfully and provide copies of the vehicle registration certificate and driver's license to avoid issues during future claims. When signing the compulsory traffic insurance contract, the insurance company must not force the policyholder to enter into a commercial insurance contract or impose additional conditions. Car owners should pay attention to this when purchasing compulsory traffic insurance to avoid incurring extra fees.

Should the clutch be fully released before going uphill?

Before going uphill, the clutch should not be fully released. Here are the relevant details: Introduction: If the clutch is released too quickly, the car is likely to stall due to insufficient power. If the clutch is fully released, the excessive speed can also affect control. Therefore, the clutch can be released more before going uphill, but it should not be fully released. Additional Information: For hill starts, slowly release the clutch to the semi-engagement point. When the car starts to vibrate, release the clutch a bit more, then gradually release the brake. When the car begins to move forward, it indicates that the semi-engagement is properly set. When going uphill, since more power is needed compared to flat ground, the clutch should be released a bit more.
