How to set the dashboard display of Volkswagen Tacqua?

The dashboard can display the total accumulated mileage and single-trip mileage. The meter will only work when the ignition is turned on. Briefly press the reset/adjustment button. Use the zero/adjustment button 9 to press the menu button 9 into the hour adjustment mode. Adjust the hour value - each press of the button increases the hour display by one. To reset the service interval indicator: Turn off the ignition, hold down the reset/adjustment button 9, then turn on the ignition. Release the button and press button 9 again. The service interval indicator will be cleared and return to normal display mode.
As a long-time Tacqua owner, I often fiddle with the instrument cluster. There are four directional buttons and an OK button on the right side of the steering wheel. The left and right buttons can switch between different information pages, such as fuel consumption, remaining range, and other routine data. While driving, I prefer setting up the real-time speed display for clear visibility. When parked, pressing the main menu button and selecting view mode allows layout changes – I'm accustomed to the digital instrument panel paired with map display. If the orange background feels glaring, you can switch to blue in the vehicle settings. During a long trip, I once noticed the tire pressure data disappeared; later learned it requires a parked-state reset to display. I recommend beginners experiment with different combinations to find their most comfortable mode. Remember to periodically reset the trip computer data for more accurate fuel consumption calculations.
When I first got the Tacqua, it took me just ten minutes to master the instrument cluster settings. Pressing the left and right arrow keys on the right side of the steering wheel cycles through the information, while the up and down keys adjust the detailed display. I prefer setting the daily display to instant fuel consumption + average speed, which has helped me develop fuel-saving habits. Holding the VIEW button for three seconds directly switches to the digital instrument mode, and the navigation interface is super large and convenient. Music lovers can set up media information display, making it easy to switch songs without looking at the central screen. Here’s a handy tip: the tire pressure monitoring icon, which automatically activates in rainy weather, turns yellow to alert you if the tire pressure is abnormal. It’s safer to adjust these settings when the vehicle is stationary.
