How to Set Cruise Control on the Verano?

The method to set cruise control on the Verano is: 1. Turn on the cruise control to put it in standby mode; 2. Accelerate the car to the desired cruising speed, then toggle or press the RES- button, and the cruise control will be successfully set. Cruise control, also known as speed control or autonomous driving system, functions by maintaining the vehicle's speed as set by the driver without the need to press the accelerator pedal, allowing the car to travel at a constant speed. Taking the Verano 2020 15T Automatic Base Model as an example: it is a compact car launched by SAIC-GM Buick, with dimensions of 4723mm in length, 1802mm in width, and 1466mm in height, a wheelbase of 2700mm, equipped with a 1.0T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 92kw and a maximum torque of 180nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
I specifically studied the cruise control during a long-distance drive in my Verano. There's a silver button with a speed icon on the right side of the steering wheel—pressing it activates the system, and a white cruise light will illuminate on the dashboard. Once the speed reaches above 40 km/h, pulling down the RES/- lever locks the current speed. To adjust speed, just flick the lever up or down—each flick adjusts the speed by about 1.6 km/h. The most convenient part is that pressing the brake or cancel button pauses the cruise, and hitting RES later instantly resumes the previously set speed. On the highway, when traffic flow changes, adjusting speed with the lever is much less tiring than using the accelerator—my legs didn’t ache even after three hours of driving.
