How to Reverse Uphill?

Press the clutch pedal, shift the gear lever directly to R gear, and perform half-clutch with slight acceleration. Press the brake pedal, press the gear lock on the gear lever, and then pull it directly down to the R gear position.
When I first started learning to drive, I found reversing uphill quite challenging, especially fearing the car would roll backward. For a manual transmission car, when stopping on a slope to reverse, first press the brake and clutch, shift into reverse gear, then slowly release the clutch to the biting point—at this moment, you can feel the car slightly gaining power. Then gently add some throttle to stabilize the engine speed. At the same time, don’t forget to release the handbrake or maintain brake assistance to prevent the car from suddenly sliding backward. After confirming there are no pedestrians or obstacles in the rearview mirror, slowly reverse. The entire process should be gentle and smooth—avoid rushing or pressing the throttle too hard, as it can easily lead to loss of control. Practice a few times on a gentle slope to get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect, and safety is more important than anything else.
