How to restart the Audi A6L MMI?

Press and hold the SET-UP button and the button in the upper right corner of the large knob, then press the large knob to restart the system. The MMI integrates all related control panels into a central control panel with a rotatable and pressable control knob and four surrounding operation buttons.
If my Audi A6L's MMI system freezes, I usually park to ensure safety, then simultaneously press and hold the Media button, central navigation button, and the right knob on the center console for about 10 seconds. The screen will go black and then reboot. This method has helped me solve issues multiple times, such as when the navigation freezes or music stops—the system will automatically recover. It's best to perform the reboot when the vehicle is stationary to avoid distracted driving. If the system crashes frequently, it might be necessary to visit a 4S shop to check for software updates or hardware faults, as occasional minor glitches in electronic systems are normal. Having driven an Audi for many years, I find this little trick practical and harmless to the car. During regular maintenance, you can also ask the technician to test the system's stability.
