How to restart the Audi A5 display screen?

It can be restarted by pressing the "SETUP" button, the rotary knob, and the "7"-shaped button in the upper right corner simultaneously. Hold all three buttons for 3 seconds and then release to initiate an automatic restart.
I also experienced a screen freeze when I first drove the A5, which was really frustrating. Restarting is actually super simple: get in the car, start the engine or just turn the power to the ACC position, then locate the volume knob on the center console, press and hold it down without releasing for 10 to 15 seconds until the screen goes completely black and then lights up again—that’s when the reboot is complete. The whole process takes about a minute or two and is quite effective for resolving freezing issues. If it still doesn’t work, there might be a deeper software glitch, requiring you to disconnect the negative battery terminal for 30 seconds before reconnecting, but avoid doing this frequently to prevent circuit damage. It’s advisable to check the user manual or visit a 4S shop for a system upgrade to avoid black screens during long trips. During regular maintenance, remind the technician to check the system to ensure minor issues don’t escalate.
