How to Restart a Manual Transmission Car with Push-Button Start After Stalling?

The steering wheel will automatically lock when the Start/Stop button is in the OFF position, when the door is opened, or when the smart key is removed from the smart key cylinder. Press and hold the engine Start/Stop button for more than 3 seconds or press it three times consecutively to turn off the engine. Press the engine Start/Stop button again to restart the engine. If the smart key battery is low or the smart key is not functioning properly, replace the battery promptly. You can start the engine by holding the engine Start/Stop button for 10 seconds while it is in the ACC state.
Stalling a manual transmission car with push-button start is quite common, in my opinion. You need to stay calm and avoid rushing the operation. First, press the clutch pedal all the way down—this is especially important because the starting system needs to detect the clutch position signal. Make sure the gear is in neutral; if it's still in gear, the engine might not start. Then, gently press the push-button start, and usually, the engine will restart successfully. Remember not to press too hard or panic, as this may cause stalling due to the clutch not being fully depressed or sensor misreading. New manual drivers often make this kind of mistake, but with more practice in clutch control, it becomes much easier. Also, after stalling, wait a second or two for the engine to stabilize before restarting—this improves reliability and avoids repeated failures.
