How to Reset Tire Pressure in BMW?

BMW resets tire pressure by: 1. Setting elimination through the multifunction steering wheel; 2. Using a computer detector for reset elimination. Tire pressure refers to the air pressure inside the tire. In car maintenance, the engine is the heart of the car, and engine damage will lead to the exhaustion of the car's life. Tire pressure is the blood pressure of the car, and the level of tire pressure plays a vital role in the performance and power of the car. Taking the BMW 5 Series as an example, its length, width, and height are 5106mm, 1868mm, and 1500mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3105mm, and the drive mode is front-engine rear-wheel drive. The car is equipped with a 2.0t turbocharged engine, matched with an 8-speed automatic manual transmission, with a maximum power of 135kw and a maximum torque of 290nm.
The most annoying thing about driving a BMW is when that yellow exclamation mark tire pressure light suddenly comes on. Every time I top up the tires or adjust the tire pressure for seasonal changes, I have to manually reset it: First, don’t start the engine, just turn on the ignition, go to the iDrive main menu, find [Vehicle Status] - [Tire Pressure Monitor] (TPMS) - select [Reset]. Then, absolutely do not touch the steering wheel, shift to neutral, and press the accelerator until the dashboard shows [Tire Pressure Resetting] progress bar completes—that’s when it’s successful. The key point many people don’t know: Before resetting, you must confirm all four tires are inflated to the standard value in a cold state, and check the tire pressure label on the fuel cap or B-pillar—in winter, inflate according to the full load value. After resetting, drive for at least three minutes for the system to relearn. If the light stays on, you’ll need to check for slow leaks or a faulty sensor.
