There is a storage compartment opposite the front passenger seat. Inside the storage compartment, there is a tire pressure check switch. Start the vehicle and power on the central control screen, then click the button indicated by the red box. Above the tire pressure monitoring switch button, there is a tire pressure monitoring symbol. Find the "Tire" option marked by the red box on the central control screen and click to enter. Click the "SET" button indicated by the red box to proceed to the next setting. Click the "Confirm" button indicated by the red box to proceed to the next setting. Click "Tire Pressure Monitoring Initialization" to reset the tire pressure warning light. Press and hold the tire pressure monitoring button until the warning light on the dashboard turns off.

Last time when I was driving the Jetta VS5, the tire pressure warning light suddenly came on, which made me a bit nervous. Later, I figured out that first, I needed to ensure all four tires were inflated to the standard pressure, usually indicated on a label near the passenger door frame. Then, after starting the vehicle, I found the SET button next to the gear shift and held it down for more than 3 seconds until the dashboard displayed 'Tire Pressure Calibrating'—then everything was fine. If you can't find the button, don't worry; just turn off the engine, restart the car, and drive for a few minutes—sometimes the system will calibrate automatically. It's recommended to check the tire pressure with a gauge every month, especially before long trips. After fixing it that time, the light turned off automatically after driving a few kilometers, and now whenever the light comes on, I just follow this method.

My Jetta VS5's tire pressure warning light started flashing just three months after I bought it. At first, I thought I had a nail puncture. Actually, the solution was quite simple: after parking and confirming there were no visible tire issues, power on the car without starting the engine. Then navigate to the settings menu using the function buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. When selecting the tire option, you'll see a tire pressure reset prompt - just press OK to confirm and wait about 10 seconds. Remember, all tires must be inflated to around 2.4 bar first, otherwise the warning light will reactivate after reset. Last time when temperatures dropped, I encountered this warning. After topping up the air and resetting, I've driven over 8,000 km without the light coming back on. I recommend paying special attention to tire pressure after sudden temperature changes.

Handling the tire pressure warning on the Jetta VS5 is a two-step process. First, inflate the tires to the standard values—the manual specifies 2.3 for the front tires and 2.5 for the rear tires. After starting the car, go directly to the central control area. There's a reset button at the top of the wiper control lever; press it down for five seconds and wait for the prompt tone. If there's no response, turn off the engine and restart, trying a couple more times. Finally, drive a few hundred meters to let the system complete its self-check. Once, my warning was triggered because the right rear tire pressure was at 2.0, and inflating it easily resolved the issue.
