Canceling the tire pressure warning light in your car can be achieved by resetting the warning light. Press and hold the SET button with the tire pressure symbol located on the right side of the front part of the gear lever. If the tire pressure is normal, the warning light will be reset. Alternatively, you can press and hold the tire pressure monitoring button until the light turns off to reset it. Then, press the tire pressure monitoring button again until the light turns on.
Hey, I've driven the older 14 Mondeo a few times, and the tire pressure light coming on is pretty common. Don't panic, first step out and use a tire pressure gauge to check if all four tires meet the standard pressure. The recommended values are on the label by the front door, usually around 230kpa for the front tires and 210kpa for the rear. If the pressure is low, use an air pump to inflate them to the standard level—remember, checking when the tires are cold gives the most accurate reading. Then, get back in the car, turn the key to the second position without starting the engine, press the setup button on the right side of the steering wheel to enter the instrument menu, find the tire pressure monitoring option, and hold the confirm button for a few seconds. When the reset prompt appears, select to proceed. Drive for about five to ten minutes to let the system recalibrate, and the light should go off. If it fails, try a few more times—there might be system interference or dirty sensors. Regular tire maintenance can prevent issues. Safe driving relies on stable tire pressure, so it's especially important to check before long trips.
