How to reset the tire pressure monitoring alarm on a C260?

There are generally three methods to reset the tire pressure monitoring alarm on a C260: Abnormal tire pressure: The system typically triggers an alarm when the pressure is below 1.8 bar or exceeds 3.0 bar. In this case, a tire inspection and pressure adjustment are necessary. Tire pressure monitoring not reset: If the tire pressure is not reset promptly after inflation, the system retains the previously recorded data, causing the tire pressure monitoring indicator to illuminate. Simply performing a tire pressure reset will resolve this issue. Damaged tire pressure sensor: The tire pressure sensor, which monitors tire pressure, is installed inside the tire and connected to the inflation valve. If the sensor is damaged during driving, such as by impact, it can also trigger the tire pressure warning light. For a damaged sensor, the only solution is to replace it with a new one.
When I encountered the tire pressure warning while driving my C260, it was quite frustrating. After parking, I first used a tire pressure gauge to check all four wheels and found the pressure was low. I went to a repair shop to inflate them to the standard value of around 2.3 Bar. Then, I started the engine, pressed the menu button on the steering wheel to navigate to the tire pressure monitoring section in the settings, and selected the reset button to initialize the system. After driving for a few minutes to let the system relearn the data, the warning automatically disappeared. Now, I make it a habit to check my tires monthly to avoid unexpected warnings affecting driving safety. Especially before long trips, checking more often can save a lot of trouble.
