To reset the tire pressure light on Baojun 510: 1. Depress the brake pedal; 2. Press the one-touch start button; 3. The instrument panel will illuminate, indicating full vehicle power is activated; 4. Inflate all four tires to standard pressure; 5. Press and hold the tire pressure reset button located below the cigarette lighter for 3 seconds to clear the warning light. Taking the Baojun 510 2021 model as an example, it features a 5-door, 5-seat SUV body structure with dimensions: length 4220mm, width 1740mm, height 1615mm, wheelbase 2550mm, fuel tank capacity 45L, and trunk capacity ranging from 318L to 1210L.

I've been driving the Baojun 510 for three years and encountered the tire pressure warning light twice. First, check all four tires and measure the pressure with a tire pressure gauge. Remember, 2.3-2.5 bar is most suitable when the tires are cold. After topping up the air, drive for about three minutes, and in most cases, the light will turn off by itself. If it's still on, look for a button with a small car and wavy lines in the glove compartment on the passenger side. Press and hold it for 5 seconds with the engine off, and wait for the tire pressure light on the dashboard to flash three times. Once, after getting a tire repaired, the light kept coming on, and I later found out that the tire shop forgot to reset the tire pressure monitoring module.

During the last maintenance, I met a female owner driving the same car model. Her tire pressure warning light had been on for a week, and she was too afraid to drive. Later, the technician taught her: First, ensure the tire pressure is normal but the light remains on. Without starting the engine, just power on the car, then press and hold the tire pressure reset button on the left side of the steering wheel. Wait until the yellow exclamation mark on the dashboard flashes three times and goes out before releasing the button. After trying it, she exclaimed in surprise that it was much simpler than she imagined and there was no need to make a special trip to the repair shop.

I've repaired tire pressure issues on over a dozen Baojun 510 vehicles. Beyond standard reset procedures, special attention should be paid to sensor malfunctions. One owner attempted reset five times without success, only to discover the right rear wheel sensor was damaged by a rock impact. The reset button is located on the left dashboard near the steering wheel - it's marked with an exclamation point in brackets. Hold it until you hear the dashboard confirmation tone; don't release prematurely. The spare tire doesn't have a sensor, so no action is required for that.

Don't panic if the tire pressure warning light comes on before a long trip. Once, I noticed the light on before hitting the highway, topped up the tire pressure for 10 bucks at a service area, but the light kept flashing. Remember to power cycle the vehicle and hold the tire pressure reset button for 15 seconds until the hazard lights blink twice. Later, I found the factory tire pressure monitoring is super sensitive—it even alerts when summer pressure exceeds 2.7 bar, but settles down at 2.5 bar.
