Press the "MENU" button on the turn signal lever to switch the small screen on the dashboard to the "Vehicle Information" section. Rotate the up and down selection buttons on the turn signal lever to find the tire pressure information section. Press and hold (long press) the "SET/CLR" function key at the head of the turn signal lever. Perform tire deflation in the following order: front left — front right — rear right — rear left. Unscrew the valve cap and use a small tool like a key to press the small pin inside the valve core. When the right turn signal lights up, repeat the above method to continue deflating the front right tire until the horn beeps once and the right turn signal turns off. Observe the tire pressure condition of each tire. The tire pressure will be lower than the normal value, so you need to inflate the tires in order to bring the tire pressure back to the normal range.

What Causes the ESC Malfunction Preventing the Car from Starting?

Here are the reasons why the ESC malfunction prevents the car from starting and the corresponding solutions: 1. The ABS pump is faulty or the throttle body is dirty; 2. The speed sensor is faulty or dirty, causing it to output incorrect signals and trigger the warning light. Solution: It is recommended to visit a 4S shop or professional repair shop as soon as possible for inspection and troubleshooting of the throttle body and sensors. Below is some information about ESC: 1. ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system: This system effectively maintains vehicle stability by intervening with non-slipping wheels to help the vehicle return to a controllable state. 2. ESC: One of the most important safety features in a vehicle, it is a crucial component of the active safety system and an extension of the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control System (TCS).

How to Remove the Spare Tire of an Outlander?

Outlander spare tire removal steps are as follows: 1. Open the trunk and locate the tool compartment on the right side of the trunk, then open it; 2. Remove the cover plate, which comes with two tire removal tools; 3. Use a pry bar to lift the cover plate next to the trunk latch; 4. Loosen the lifting bolt of the spare tire bracket with a socket wrench; 5. Remove the hook connected by the bolt, and the spare tire will slide out, completing the removal. The spare tire of the Mitsubishi Outlander is a full-size tire. However, even if it is a full-size spare tire, its speed rating and load index may not be the same. It can only serve as a temporary replacement in emergencies until the regular tire arrives.

What is the difference between antifreeze colors?

Antifreeze comes in three colors. The main components of antifreeze are ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and diethylene glycol. Ethylene glycol is generally green, propylene glycol is red with a hint of orange, and diethylene glycol is blue. The primary function of antifreeze is to protect the engine and ensure its normal and efficient operation. It circulates within the engine radiator, providing anti-freeze, anti-boil, anti-rust, and anti-corrosion effects. Antifreeze is colored red or green to make it easier to detect leaks or to distinguish it from other engine fluids, preventing confusion. Below are some precautions for using antifreeze: 1. Choose antifreeze according to the specific requirements of your vehicle. Imported vehicles, domestically produced vehicles, and mid-to-high-end vehicles should use permanent antifreeze (lasting 2-3 years). 2. Select antifreeze based on the number and concentration of vehicles. For units or departments with a large number of vehicles that are relatively concentrated, opt for small-packaged antifreeze concentrate, which is easier to transport and store. 3. Choose antifreeze with rust-proof, anti-corrosion, and descaling capabilities. The most critical aspect of antifreeze is its anti-corrosion properties. Opt for reputable brand products, as they contain additives like corrosion inhibitors, rust inhibitors, scale inhibitors, and cleaning agents, ensuring product quality.

What Causes the Engine Light to Keep Flashing?

Here are the reasons why the engine light keeps flashing: 1. Excessive carbon buildup in the throttle or engine. 2. Malfunction of the oxygen sensor leading to an imbalance in the air-fuel mixture ratio. This phenomenon is common when driving at low speeds in urban areas for extended periods. 3. Fuel injector leakage, causing the injector to remain in the fuel supply state even after releasing the accelerator, resulting in an overly rich mixture at low speeds and unstable idle after releasing the throttle. In severe cases, the engine may stall directly. 4. Use of low-quality gasoline with excessive metal content, leading to oxygen sensor poisoning.

For i-stop to function normally, besides the vehicle being stationary and having sufficient battery power, several other conditions must be met. Below are the additional requirements for i-stop operation: 1. Ambient temperature must be between -10°C and 50°C (to prevent excessive air conditioning system load). 2. The vehicle must be on a slope not exceeding 8 degrees or on level ground (automatically sensed by the vehicle) (to prevent rolling backward or forward when releasing the brake). 3. Both engine and transmission must reach operating temperature. 4. The gear must be in D position. 5. The front windshield defroster must be turned off.
