How to reset the service light on the Peugeot 508 dashboard?

To clear the maintenance light on the dashboard of a Dongfeng Peugeot 508 automatic transmission vehicle, first press and hold the trip meter reset button. After restarting the automatic transmission vehicle, the service maintenance reminder light on the Dongfeng Peugeot 508 dashboard will no longer appear.
When I used to drive a Peugeot 508, the service light would often come on, which is actually the maintenance reminder light. It's not too difficult to reset. First, park the car and turn off the engine, then look for the instrument panel below the steering wheel. The 508 has a small square button called the ODO button—hold it down. Next, turn the car key to the ACC position (where the instrument panel lights up but the engine doesn't start). Keep holding the ODO button and watch the instrument panel—the service light will start flashing. After about ten seconds and a few flashes, it will turn off. At that point, you can release the button. This method works for 508 models from 2010 onwards. If the light doesn't respond, it might be due to a weak battery or a system fault, so it's best to have it checked at a 4S shop. Don't ignore this little light—delaying an oil change for too long could damage the engine and increase fuel consumption. I've tried this reset a few times myself, and driving afterward feels much more reassuring.
