How to Reset the Peugeot 4008 Tire Pressure Monitoring System?
1 Answers
There are two methods to reset the tire pressure monitoring system: 1. The tire pressure monitoring system continuously monitors the air pressure of all four tires while driving. It compares the calibrated tire pressure values with data from the wheel speed sensors. If it detects low pressure in any tire, it triggers an alert. After adjusting tire pressure or replacing tires, you must recalibrate the system to reinitialize it. 2. When checking tire pressure, always do so when the tires are cold (after the vehicle has been stationary for at least one hour or driven at low speed for no more than 10 km). Otherwise, the measured pressure will be approximately 0.3 bar higher than the recommended value on the label. When the system detects low tire pressure, it will illuminate the warning light, sound an audible alert, and display a message on the touchscreen or instrument cluster. In this situation, you should: – Reduce speed gradually – Avoid sudden braking or sharp steering maneuvers – Stop the vehicle as soon as it's safe to do so
