My BMW 7 Series just encountered this issue a couple of days ago, and I successfully reset it myself. First, fully raise the window to the top without releasing, and continue holding the window-up button for more than 15 seconds; then lower it all the way down, and hold the window-down button for another 15 seconds. Ensure the vehicle is powered on throughout the process, and it's best to start the engine. During the reset, you'll hear a slight operating sound from the motor. After completion, there will be a brief half-second pause before the window moves during testing, which is the system relearning the travel points. Note that if there are foreign objects in the track or the rubber seal is aged, the window might malfunction again after resetting, so it's recommended to clean the track and spray some lubricant while you're at it.

With 20 years of car repair experience, I perform this reset several times a day. The key point is to hold the switch for 10-15 seconds after the window reaches the top, and repeat the same operation when lowering it to the bottom. BMW's control module requires this action to reset the travel memory. It's best to keep the door open during the operation for easy observation of the window's movement. If a window still doesn't work properly after resetting, it might be a fault with the limit switch sensor. Also, a reminder to car owners: this issue often occurs after washing the car or prolonged parking, which is normal and nothing to worry about.

Easy three-step fix: Start the vehicle, fully close the problematic window and continue holding the window-up button for 15 seconds; then fully open the window and hold the window-down button for another 15 seconds; finally test by closing the window to restore the one-touch function. The key is to hold the button continuously without releasing midway, allowing the system to complete self-learning. Last week my car also malfunctioned after sun exposure, and this method solved it in five minutes. By the way, prolonged disuse of manual mode accelerates function failure, so it's best to manually operate the windows several times each month.

You need to adjust the tire pressure of all four tires to the normal range. Drive for a while (preferably at a faster speed), and the sensor will detect it and the light will disappear. Alternatively, you can only go to a 4S shop or a professional auto repair shop and ask the staff to help reset it.

Is a Driver's License Required to Drive an Electric Vehicle?

Driving an electric vehicle requires a driver's license. Below is a detailed introduction about electric vehicles: 1. Overview: An electric vehicle (BEV) refers to a vehicle that uses an on-board power source as its power, drives the wheels with an electric motor, and meets all the requirements of road traffic and safety regulations. Due to its relatively smaller impact on the environment compared to traditional vehicles, its prospects are widely optimistic. Because electric vehicles typically only need to be charged and do not require refueling, they are often categorized together with traditional low-speed electric vehicles. 2. Classification: Electric vehicles can be divided into three categories: Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).
