How to reset the one-touch power window for the 8th generation Accord?
2 Answers
Press the brake pedal of the Accord to prepare for starting the engine. Press the one-touch start button of the Accord to start the engine and power up the entire vehicle. Pull up the window switch on the driver's side of the Accord to fully raise the window. Hold the window switch without releasing for more than 10 seconds.
When the one-touch power window on my 8th-gen Accord stopped working, I encountered the same issue. The fix is simple: first, roll the window all the way up and firmly hold the window-up switch for about 5 seconds until you hear a click, then release. Next, press the window-down switch to lower the window completely and hold for another 5 seconds. Finally, test the one-touch function—it should be restored. This reset is usually needed after battery disconnection or window jamming. For instance, last time my switch malfunctioned after car wash water seepage, a quick reset fixed it without wasting money at the dealership. Regular window lubrication during daily driving helps prevent recurring issues. Remember to be patient during the process and avoid doing it while driving—safety first.
