Turn off the ignition switch. Press and hold the trip meter reset button on the instrument cluster, then turn on the ignition switch while keeping the button pressed. When the display shows 0000.0, release the button. At this point, the wrench indicator light on the instrument cluster display indicating maintenance operation should turn off.

Last year after changing the oil for my 408, I encountered this issue too. Resetting the oil light is quite simple, no need to rush to the shop. First turn off the engine and keep it in the off state, then locate the dashboard button on the left side of the steering wheel - usually the odometer toggle button. Press and hold it, then turn the ignition to ACC position (that's one turn of the key without starting the engine). Be patient, I usually count to about 10 seconds until the oil light starts blinking or turns off completely, then release the button. This operation mainly resets the maintenance reminder to stop it from annoyingly flashing on the dashboard. Remember the oil light just indicates maintenance intervals, actual oil changes should follow the real mileage. Before next maintenance, better check the manual first as some 408 models might have different button positions, but the principle remains similar.

Resetting the 408 oil change light is something I'm quite familiar with as a long-time owner who's done it multiple times. Basically, you turn off the ignition completely, then press and hold that knob or small button on the center console near the instrument cluster. Turn the key to the accessory position (without starting the engine) and keep holding for about 15 seconds until the light resets. The key is to maintain pressure and not release too early, otherwise you'll have to start over. It's quite convenient to perform this step when doing DIY oil changes - no extra tools needed, saving some money. Timely resetting after oil changes benefits the vehicle by preventing false warnings that could affect driving and helps prolong the ECU system's lifespan.

Is It Serious If Car Windshield Washer Fluid Freezes?

Car windshield washer fluid freezing is serious. There are hazards when car windshield washer fluid freezes, as it can easily cause the reservoir and hoses to crack. Selection of windshield washer fluid: In autumn and winter, windshield washer fluid should have excellent cleaning and antifreeze properties. Winter windshield washer fluid should be selected based on antifreeze performance, choosing a fluid with a freezing point at least 10 degrees lower than the local minimum temperature. Otherwise, it may cause the washer fluid to freeze, water pump failure, and other issues. You can select the appropriate product based on local temperatures. Reputable brands typically categorize their products into different grades according to temperature ranges, allowing you to choose according to seasonal changes. Performance of windshield washer fluid: Additionally, windshield washer fluid should also have protective properties for the windshield and wipers. This means it should provide protection and care for the vehicle during normal use.

What type of engine oil should be used with a particulate filter?

Vehicles equipped with particulate filters require the use of low-ash engine oil, as high-ash oil can easily clog the particulate filter. A particulate filter is a ceramic filter installed in the exhaust system of diesel engines, designed to capture particulate emissions before they enter the atmosphere. Functions of the particulate filter: The particulate filter can reduce soot emissions from diesel engines by over 90%, and the captured particulate matter is subsequently burned off during vehicle operation. To determine if your vehicle has a particulate filter, you can use the following three methods: Check the and to see if there is a particulate filter function. Additionally, carefully review the fault codes in the manual to check for a "particulate filter" warning light indicator. Inspect the label on the engine oil cap. If it explicitly states the use of 0W-20 grade oil, this indicates the presence of a particulate filter. Look behind the catalytic converter to see if there is an additional cylindrical section on the exhaust pipe. If present, this is the particulate filter.

Should You Release the Brake or the Clutch First When Starting?

Generally, when the car is on a flat road, there is no need to press the brake, so there is no question of releasing the clutch or brake first when starting. Simply release the clutch to the semi-engaged position. Starting with the Foot Brake: While pressing the foot brake, press the clutch, shift into first gear, and release the clutch to the semi-engaged position. When the body slightly trembles and the front of the car lifts, release the foot brake, and the vehicle will start moving slowly. Starting with the Hand Brake: When starting with the hand brake, there is no need to press the foot brake. This method is used when parked on a slope to stabilize the car by pulling the hand brake. The specific steps are: hold the steering wheel firmly with the left hand, press the clutch, shift into first gear, place the right hand on the hand brake, release the clutch to the semi-engaged point, and immediately release the hand brake to allow the vehicle to move forward smoothly.

Does a fuel-powered heater consume a lot of fuel? How much fuel does it use in a day?

Fuel-powered heaters do consume a considerable amount of fuel. A 20kW unit, for example, uses approximately 8 liters of fuel per hour to raise the temperature by 60 degrees. Based on this rate, continuous operation for a full day would require around 192 liters of fuel. Functions of fuel-powered heaters: Primarily used for heating industrial or commercial spaces, they also serve to dry products or meet specific process requirements. As the name suggests, these heaters warm the air. Current heating methods vary widely: underfloor heating, radiant heating, warm air heating, convection heating, etc. There are also multiple energy options, from traditional coal to widely used electric heating and the increasingly popular fuel and gas heating. Among these methods, air heating is considered more comfortable, with fuel-powered heaters being the most common approach. They provide clean, dry hot air, evenly heating the entire space. Applications: Factory workshops, construction sites, roads and bridges, railways and airports, oil drilling, coal mines, steelmaking and hydraulic operations, mechanical maintenance, ice and frost prevention, moisture and damp protection, product drying, warm air rooms, and more.

Do You Need a Car Cover When It Snows?

Normally, you don't need a car cover when it snows. Generally, car windows have anti-freezing functions, as automobile manufacturers have taken this into consideration, so the glass won't freeze and crack. Introduction to Car Covers: Car covers, commonly known as car clothing, are protective covers made of canvas or other flexible and wear-resistant materials tailored to the vehicle's dimensions, serving as protective gear for cars. Functions of Car Covers: They provide excellent protection for the car's paint and windows, especially for high-end vehicles. Regular use of car covers can extend the lifespan of the paint, keeping it shiny and new. A car cover consists of three parts: the body, straps, and spring hooks. The front strap is closed and is put on from the top, while the back strap is open and secured to the rear of the car with a lock (other locks can also be used), making it impossible to remove without a dedicated key. Then, the spring hooks on both sides of the cover are hooked under the car's edges, firmly securing the cover to the vehicle.
