How to Reset the Odometer on a Geely Emgrand?

First, press the vehicle's one-touch start button to power on the vehicle; otherwise, the odometer cannot be reset. Then, locate the trip meter reset button at the lower right of the instrument panel. After hearing a beep sound, the trip meter will be reset. Next, press the RES resume button on the left side of the multifunction steering wheel to confirm the successful reset of the trip meter.
I’ve been driving an Emgrand for five years, so I’m very familiar with resetting the odometer. The total mileage is legally protected and can’t be tampered with, so we can only reset the trip mileage. I reset it before every long trip: first, start the car and wait for the dashboard to light up, then use the scroll button on the left side of the steering wheel to navigate to the TRIP interface. Once the numbers are displayed, just press and hold the OK button for three seconds, and it resets immediately. If you have an older model without steering wheel buttons, don’t panic—there’s a small stick button at the bottom right of the dashboard. Adjust it to the trip mileage and hold it down. Remember, the operation must be done with the power on; the engine doesn’t need to be running. After resetting, it’s easy to calculate the fuel consumption for a single trip—I’ve found the margin of error doesn’t exceed 0.2 liters. Lastly, a reminder: don’t mess with the ODO total mileage; that thing can’t be reset at all.
