How to reset the maintenance wrench on JMC Kairun?

While turning the key, press the brake pedal and accelerator pedal all the way down, then rotate the ignition key to the second position. Then press and hold the small trip reset button on the right side of the instrument panel for 2-3 seconds, while simultaneously pressing the accelerator pedal and brake pedal, and wait for about 15 seconds. After the maintenance light on the instrument panel starts flashing, release the accelerator pedal and brake pedal, turn off the ignition switch, and the maintenance light reset is complete.
I've been driving JMC trucks for over a decade, and resetting the maintenance reminder light must be done by the book. First, turn off the engine completely. Then locate the small button on the left side of the steering wheel and hold it down. Next, turn the key to the ACC position (where the dashboard powers on). You'll see a small wrench icon flashing in the center of the instrument cluster - keep holding the button for about 10 seconds until the icon completely disappears before releasing. This operation is like rebooting your truck - simple but requires following the sequence precisely. I always reset it myself after each maintenance to avoid queuing at service stations. The reminder light for oil and filter changes is very practical - don't ignore it, just follow the maintenance manual and you can't go wrong.
Last time I went for maintenance, the technician taught me a trick that works really well. First, don't start the car, press that small black button on the dashboard, located at the bottom right corner of the speedometer. With your other hand, turn the key to the power-on position, and the maintenance wrench icon will start flashing. Keep holding the button without releasing it, wait about seven or eight seconds, and it will turn off by itself, just like canceling an alarm clock. However, be aware that the button position might vary depending on the model year of the Kaivun, with older models having it on the lower left side of the steering wheel. It's important to clear the reminder promptly after maintenance; otherwise, it keeps lighting up, which can be annoying and distract you while driving. Doing it yourself takes just two minutes, saving both time and effort.
