How to reset the maintenance wrench light on Chery Arrizo 5?

The "wrench" icon displayed on the dashboard of the Chery Arrizo 5 is a maintenance reminder, alerting the driver that the vehicle requires timely servicing. If maintenance is not completed, this indicator will illuminate. The method to reset this warning light is as follows: 1. Turn off the ignition switch; 2. Press and hold the adjustment rod located at the lower right corner of the instrument panel; 3. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position; 4. After approximately 5 seconds with the ignition on, the maintenance light will extinguish, at which point you can release the adjustment rod. After vehicle maintenance, it is essential to reset the maintenance counter. Failure to do so may result in inaccurate tracking of new component usage time during subsequent part replacements.
After my last maintenance, the wrench warning light was still on, so I tried a DIY method. First, completely turn off the car and remove the key. Find the small button on the right side of the dashboard, press and hold it firmly. Then insert the key and turn it to the power-on position (without starting the engine), continue holding for about ten seconds, and the wrench light will disappear. This method works for my 2017 Chery Arrizo 5. Remember to do this step after maintenance, otherwise, the next reminder won’t be accurate. Some car owners mentioned that newer models might require a different method, like pressing the accelerator three times, but I haven’t tried it. Doing it yourself saves the hassle of visiting the 4S shop, but if it doesn’t work, it’s still recommended to seek professional help.
