Insert the key, press and hold the small rod on the right side without releasing, then turn the key to the ON position. The dashboard will light up for self-check. At the moment the self-check is completed, release the small rod on the right side. Simultaneously press both the left and right small rods, hold for 5 seconds, and the wrench symbol will disappear. First, press and hold the button on the dashboard, then turn on the ignition switch. After about 15 seconds, the maintenance light will go off, indicating the reset is complete.

My Chery Tiggo 5x also frequently shows the maintenance reminder, and eliminating it is actually quite simple: turn the key to the ACC position without starting the car, then press and hold the TRIP button on the dashboard for about five seconds. You’ll see the maintenance indicator light blink a few times and then go off. Last time I tried it myself, it took less than a minute to resolve. Why deal with it? Ignoring the reminder might delay actual maintenance needs, such as missing an oil change, which can lead to engine wear and costly repairs. I stick to a full maintenance check every 5,000 kilometers or six months, inspecting brake pads, tire pressure, and coolant levels. This saves money and ensures safe driving—don’t wait for the reminder light to prompt action.

Should the Vehicle Anti-Skid System Be Kept On Normally?

Vehicle Anti-Skid System should be kept on normally. For most vehicles, this system is enabled by default. In certain special driving conditions, if it needs to be turned off, it can be deactivated via the vehicle's anti-skid switch. Once turned off, the anti-skid system will no longer provide protection. Here is some relevant information about the Vehicle Anti-Skid System: The Vehicle Anti-Skid System generally includes the functions of the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control System (TCS). On this basis, it adds a yaw rate sensor, lateral acceleration sensor, and steering wheel angle sensor when the vehicle is steering. The system controls the driving and braking forces of the front, rear, left, and right wheels through the ECU to ensure the lateral stability of the vehicle during driving.

Is Toyota Corolla the same as the Corolla EX?

Essentially, the Corolla is also known as the Corolla EX, but the Corolla EX was the name used for the ninth generation of this vehicle. By the tenth generation, the name was changed to Corolla. The Corolla has seen improvements in its exterior design and materials used. Therefore, the Corolla is the tenth-generation product in the Corolla EX series. In terms of logos, the Corolla's rear emblem is marked as COROLLA, while the Corolla EX's rear emblem is marked as COROLLA-EX. Here is some relevant information: 1. The first-generation Corolla was launched in 1966 as a people's car. Due to its affordable price, it was highly popular among consumers at the time. It has now evolved to the eleventh generation and remains one of the best-selling models globally. 2. The famous 86 (the veteran driver of Akina Speed Stars) was born from the fifth-generation Corolla.

What is the main purpose of crankcase ventilation?

The function of the engine crankcase ventilation device is to prevent oil deterioration, leakage from the crankshaft oil seal and crankcase gasket, and pollution of the atmosphere by various oil vapors. The reasons and functions of crankcase ventilation are as follows: 1. During engine operation, some combustible mixture and exhaust gases enter the crankcase through the piston rings. The condensed gasoline vapor in the crankcase will dilute the oil and degrade its performance. 2. The exhaust gases contain water vapor and sulfur dioxide. The water vapor condenses in the oil, forming foam and disrupting oil supply, especially severe in winter. 3. Sulfur dioxide reacts with water to form sulfurous acid, which then reacts with oxygen in the air to form sulfuric acid. These acidic substances not only deteriorate the oil but also corrode engine components. 4. The pressure inside the crankcase increases due to the entry of combustible mixture and exhaust gases, causing oil to leak and be lost through the crankshaft oil seal and crankcase gasket. 5. The oil vapor lost into the atmosphere increases the engine's pollution of the air. 6. Installing a crankcase ventilation device in the engine can avoid or mitigate the above phenomena.

Is it okay to use the car if there is engine oil in the radiator?

It is not recommended to continue driving if there is engine oil in the radiator. The following are the steps to handle engine oil in the radiator: 1. Disconnect the overflow tank and turn off the heater. 2. Start the vehicle and let it idle. Once the engine reaches operating temperature, flush the radiator opening with a water hose until no significant oil traces remain, then stop. 3. Turn off the engine and open the radiator drain valve. After water starts flowing out, start the engine again and continue adding water to the radiator opening to allow circulation. After 5 minutes, turn off the engine and stop adding water. Once all the water has drained from the radiator, close the drain valve and refill with water. 4. Start the car and observe whether there are any oil traces at the radiator opening. 5. Reconnect the overflow tank and replace the coolant as needed.

What is BMW Eco Pro mode?

Eco-Pro is the vehicle's energy-saving driving mode. ECO is an English abbreviation formed from Ecology (environmental protection), Conservation (energy saving), and Optimization (power). The Eco mode is further divided into active Eco driving mode and non-active Eco driving mode. When the Eco indicator light on the dashboard illuminates, it indicates that the vehicle's economy mode has been activated. Eco mode is categorized into active and non-active types. The difference lies in the fact that the active type has its own dedicated button, allowing the driver to choose whether to activate it. When the driver presses the Eco mode switch, the dashboard indicator light immediately turns on, and the vehicle automatically begins adjusting settings such as throttle opening, transmission shift logic, and air conditioning output power. Non-active Eco mode does not have a dedicated button. When the Eco indicator light on the dashboard illuminates, it serves merely as a reminder function. The Eco system automatically evaluates your driving behavior. If your current driving operation achieves the optimal fuel supply, the dashboard will simultaneously display the Eco indicator light. Most vehicles employ the active Eco driving mode, meaning they have their own switch button. Therefore, during daily driving, we can activate the Eco mode. However, it is unnecessary to enable Eco mode when driving at speeds exceeding 120 km/h, during idle parking, in N/P gear, or in manual mode, especially when climbing hills. Doing so would not only fail to demonstrate the fuel-saving characteristics of Eco mode but also affect the vehicle's power. Additionally, the Eco mode typically becomes ineffective under the following circumstances: When the vehicle speed exceeds 120 kilometers per hour, the system prioritizes speed, causing the Eco mode to automatically deactivate. During idle parking or when in N/P gear or manual mode, the Eco mode may also become ineffective. When a high torque output is required, such as when climbing a hill, the engine control unit prioritizes ensuring sufficient power to drive the vehicle, and the Eco mode will not operate.

How to Adjust Rearview Mirrors to the Optimal Position?

Here are the methods to adjust the rearview mirrors to the optimal position: 1. Left rearview mirror adjustment: Place the horizon line at the center of the mirror, then adjust the edge of the car body to occupy 1/4 of the mirror's image for the best view. 2. Right rearview mirror adjustment: Since the driver's seat is on the left side, it's harder for the driver to grasp the situation on the right side of the car. Therefore, when adjusting the up and down position of the right rearview mirror, the ground area should be larger, occupying about 2/3 of the mirror's range. The left and right position should also be adjusted so that the car body occupies 1/4 of the mirror's range for the best view. 3. Central rearview mirror adjustment: For the left and right position, the left edge of the mirror should just be able to see your right ear for the best view. For the up and down position, the distant horizon should be placed at the center of the mirror for the best view.
