How to reset the maintenance reminder for Surui?

First, press the small wrench button with your left hand, then use your right hand to turn on the ignition switch. Keep the ignition switch in KEY-ON mode and hold the mileage reset button for more than 10 seconds. Release the small wrench button with your left hand and then press the minute button on the time adjustment knob. Remove your left hand from the time button. Reconnect the ignition switch or start the engine, and the maintenance reminder will disappear, completing the manual maintenance reset. Use the up and down buttons on the right to adjust the time or mileage, then press the confirm button to exit. This will clear the maintenance reminder.
I also encountered the maintenance reminder light on my BYD Surui last time. It was annoying but pretty simple to reset. If you want to do it yourself, here's how: First, turn the key to the ACC position (don't start the engine). After the dashboard lights up, find the TRIP button or OK key, press and hold it for 5-10 seconds until the reminder light flashes and disappears before releasing. Most Surui models follow this procedure. If it doesn't work, just restart and try again. Regular maintenance is crucial to prevent engine carbon buildup or brake wear, saving money and ensuring safety. As a regular car owner, I suggest checking the user manual first or searching for YouTube tutorials—they're super detailed and helpful. Don't skip maintenance steps! When the light comes on, it means it's time for an oil change or other servicing. Delaying could lead to costly repairs. I've tried DIY fixes and saved hundreds by avoiding dealership visits, but always make sure the car is parked safely in an open area before attempting anything—safety first!
