Turn on the ignition switch, hold down the "reset button" with one hand, and turn off the ignition switch with the other hand; Keep holding the "reset button" until the clock and trip mileage on the dashboard completely disappear, then release the button. Press the "reset button" again with one hand and turn on the ignition switch. At this point, the maintenance reminder on the dashboard will flash, continue holding the "reset button". Turn on the ignition switch or start the vehicle again to check if the reset was successful. The maintenance light indicates insufficient engine oil in the vehicle.

When I previously drove the Zotye SR9, the maintenance light reset procedure was quite simple. First, sit in the driver's seat and turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. Then press and hold the small button on the right side of the instrument panel for about five seconds until the wrench icon starts flashing on the dashboard screen. Continue holding the button for another ten seconds until the icon disappears. Release the button and turn the key back to the OFF position to complete the process. This operation essentially resets the maintenance reminder in the vehicle's computer and can be done yourself without visiting the dealership. However, it's crucial to begin the procedure with the power off and preferably in a safe parking environment to avoid distractions affecting safety. Resetting after each maintenance service helps accurately track the next service mileage interval, which is very beneficial for engine protection.

Regarding the reset of the maintenance light for the Zotye SR9, I've tried it several times, and the steps are actually quite clear: 1. Turn off the engine, remove the key, and ensure complete power-off; 2. Press and hold the button with the triangle symbol on the right side of the dashboard with your left hand; 3. Turn the key to the ACC position with your right hand while keeping the button pressed; 4. Continue holding for about ten seconds until the wrench icon on the dashboard disappears. The key is to hold it long enough, as many people fail by releasing too early out of impatience. During my first attempt, I noticed the dashboard didn’t display a countdown, but holding for the full duration still allowed a successful reset. After this operation, the onboard computer will recalculate the maintenance cycle, which is very practical for daily driving.

Last time I reset the maintenance light for my Zotye SR9 myself and summarized a trick: After turning off the engine, hold down the right instrument button and then power on, watching for the wrench symbol to flash without releasing until it disappears. The key point is not to start the engine after powering on; it must remain in ACC state. Once during rainy weather, I accidentally triggered the wiper switch, causing the reset to fail and requiring a restart, so the environment must be chosen carefully. It's recommended to perform the operation immediately after maintenance to avoid mileage errors, which is much more convenient than going to the 4S shop.

To resolve the Zotye SR9 maintenance light issue, follow these four steps: Remove the key and wait for the car to completely shut down; Locate the protruding button on the dashboard behind the steering wheel; Hold it down while turning the key to power on; Hold for ten seconds until the maintenance indicator light turns off. The core of this operation is to reset the car's computer using the physical button. Beginners should note: never perform this while driving—it's best to stop, engage the handbrake, and then proceed. If the wrench symbol doesn't respond, it may be due to incomplete power-off last time—turn off all electrical devices and try again. I've successfully used this method three times on my car, and it's simpler than expected.
