How to reset the maintenance light on the Geely Haoyue?

To reset the vehicle maintenance light, first start the vehicle to illuminate the instrument panel. After starting the vehicle, the maintenance indicator will appear on the instrument panel. Turn off the ignition switch; with the engine off, press and hold the short-distance counter reset button located below the tachometer. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, then release the short-distance counter reset button. Pull out the minute button on the clock and turn it to the right. Turn off the engine to reset the reminder message. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, and the "SERVICE" indicator will disappear.
Last time my Haoyue's maintenance light came on, I tried resetting it and it went pretty smoothly. First, make sure the car is parked and the key is removed. Sit in the driver's seat, locate the dashboard near the steering wheel, where there's a small button, usually labeled 'trip' or 'reset'. Press and hold it, then turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. Keep holding for a few seconds, and the maintenance light will flash and then go off. Remember, you might need to try this once or twice. If there's no response, check if the battery voltage is stable, otherwise the system might malfunction. After resetting, the light won't bother you anymore, saving unnecessary trouble. The maintenance light reminds us to change the oil and filter regularly—don't ignore it, as it affects the engine's lifespan. Delaying maintenance too long can cause parts to wear out faster. I recommend checking every 5,000 kilometers or so to develop good habits, making the car more durable and safer.
