The MG ZS does not have a manual reset button for the maintenance light; it can only be reset by a technician using a diagnostic computer at a 4S shop. The purpose of the maintenance light is to record the mileage of some important components, serving as a reminder for car owners and maintenance personnel. Below is an introduction to the MG ZS: 1. In terms of appearance, the MG ZS has a body length/width/height of 4314/1809/1648mm, with a wheelbase of 2585mm. 2. For the interior, the new MG ZS is equipped with a 10.1-inch high-definition floating touch screen and a windscreen-style full LCD instrument panel. The interior adopts a new red and black color scheme, with large-area soft materials covering the cabin. The automatic transmission version comes standard with an electronic handbrake, and a sporty handle has been added to the passenger side of the center console. 3. In terms of power, the new MG ZS is equipped with a new 260TGI dual-injection turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 160 horsepower, with a power increase of up to 125 horsepower, the highest in its class, and a maximum torque of 230 N·m, providing strong power output.

Last time when the maintenance light came on, I had to browse through several automotive forums to figure out the manual reset method for my MG ZS. First, make sure the car is turned off and the power is cut. Then, hold down the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel without letting go, while using the other hand to turn the key to the power-on position (do not start the engine). At this point, a bunch of English prompts will pop up on the dashboard. When you see 'SERVICE RESET' flashing, quickly release the button and wait for the countdown to finish. The whole process takes about ten seconds, and the key is to time the release correctly. It took me three tries to succeed with my 2018 ZS, and I heard that newer models require a diagnostic tool to reset. After completing the process, remember that the next maintenance mileage will be automatically reset. However, if the button operation isn't responsive, it's safer to visit the 4S店 and use a computer to reset it.
